Statement of Faith for RBTM

STATEMENT OF FAITH
RHYMING BIBLE TRUTHS MINISTRIES

GOD:

We believe that GOD is One GOD, and that HE perpetually exists in three personalities:

Father, Son and Holy Ghost: The Father is Spirit; the Son is the Word that became flesh and the Holy Ghost is our Teacher (Comforter).

Genesis 1: 1; Daniel 9: 25-27; Matthew 28: 19; John 1: 1, 14, 18, 51;

I Corinthians 2: 13; Hebrews 1: 8.

Angels:

We believe that GOD created the angels before HE created the Universe.

The angels are spiritual beings, created to reside before the throne of GOD (from there, they are sent out to minister to those who shall become heirs of Salvation).

Matthew 1: 20-25; Luke 15: 10; Hebrews 1:14; Jude 9; Revelation 5: 2; 7: 11.

Fallen Angels:

We believe that “Lucifer, son of the morning” was the highest ranking angel in heaven until: out of pride he rebelled against GOD; and he influenced one third of the other angels to follow him. This fallen angel is the originator of sin (evil). Satan said: “I will be like the Most High.” Satan (and the demons that fell with him) will be punished throughout eternity in the latter days (before eternity begins). Some of the fallen angels are already in everlasting chains under darkness (until the judgment, of that great day).

Isaiah 14: 12-17; Ezekiel 28: 11-19 (A lamentation to the king of Tyrus; this is one of the (few) scriptures that gives the origin of the Devil and of evil).

Luke 8: 30; I Timothy 3: 6; II Peter 2: 4; Jude 6; Revelation 20: 1-3.

Creation:

We believe that GOD made heaven and earth and everything in it out of nothing; GOD said: “Let there be,” and it was so.  HE created the herbs, the animals, and every living creature on the face of the earth; then GOD created the man (Adam), out of the dust of the ground. GOD breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils; HE then gave him dominion over everything in the earth.

Genesis 1 & 2; Malachi 2: 10; John 1: 3; Hebrews 11: 3.

Mankind:

We believe that man was created in the image and after the likeness of GOD; man was created to live forever in Holy Communion and obedience to GOD.

Genesis 1: 26-31; Matthew 19: 4; Romans 8: 29; I Corinthians 15: 21, 47; Colossians 3: 10, 24; Titus 3: 7; Revelation 21 & 22.

GOD’S Covenant with Adam:

We believe that GOD made a covenant with the first man (Adam); GOD told the man that he could eat from any of the trees in the garden, with the exception of one; the ‘tree of the knowledge of good and evil,’ ‘for the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.’

Genesis 2: 9, 16, 17; 3: 5.

The Broken Covenant:

We believe that the first man (Adam) broke GOD’S covenant with him when he ate from the forbidden tree.

Genesis 3: 5, 22-24; Romans 5: 12.

Paradise Lost:

We believe that eternal life (with GOD) was lost to man when Adam disobeyed HIM by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Death entered the world, and Adam and his wife (Eve) were cast out of the garden; the couple had to go outside of GOD’S presence.

Genesis 3: 24; Luke 23: 43; John 14: 6; Revelation 2: 7.

GOD’S plan of Restoration:

We believe that GOD began HIS plan of restoration (sanctification), before expelling the couple from the garden, when HE said to the serpent (Satan’s surrogate), “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.”

Genesis 3: 15; Isaiah 53; Romans 8; II Thessalonians 2: 13; 3: 3.

GOD’S (Unconditional) Promise to Abraham (the Hebrew) and his seed:

We believe that Abraham’s seed is two-fold: first natural and then spiritual.

GOD promised Abraham that he would become the Father of a great Nation; that Nation is Israel (three hundred thousand square miles of land-place & Jacob’s-physical-seed).

Christ Jesus is the spiritual seed of Abraham: therefore whoever is ‘in Christ’ is Abraham’s spiritual seed.

Genesis 12: 1-8; 15: 18-21; Deuteronomy 30; Romans 4: 16-18.

GOD’S Chosen:

We believe that Abraham’s natural seed (Jacob’s sons) were chosen by GOD to be an illustration for all nations. GOD changed Jacob’s name to Israel, and his son’s became the twelve tribes of Israel.

Genesis 32: 27, 28; 46: 8-34; Psalms 14: 7; Isaiah 4; Jeremiah 23: 7, 8; Zechariah 2: 8-10; II Timothy 2: 10; Revelation 7: 1-8.

Virgin Birth:

We believe that mankind is born into sin because of the first human being (Adam).

We also believe that animal sacrifice only covered (kasah) our sin; it did not take it away.

We needed a Redeemer (once and for all); so GOD sent HIS Only Son begotten out of HIMSELF (the Word that became flesh) to take away the sin of the world.

Christ Jesus was born of a virgin (named Mary); HE was conceived by the Holy Ghost.

The incarnate Christ Jesus was not born with a sin nature (HE was not conceived from the seed/sperm of a man).

Genesis 3: 15; Isaiah 7: 14; 9: 6, 7; Matthew 1: 18-25; Luke 2: 11, 12; John 1: 14; Hebrews 2: 16.

The Death Burial and Resurrection of Christ:

We believe that Jesus was qualified to be the sin sacrifice for all mankind; for GOD said: the wages of sin is death, but the gift of GOD is eternal life.”

Jesus died in our place, and HE rose from the dead on the third day; death had no hold on HIM because HE was without sin, Praise GOD! HE is our Redeemer.

Isaiah 53: 7-12; Matthew 27: 57-60; John 2: 19; Luke 4: 20; Acts 8: 32; Romans 5: 6-21; I Corinthians 15: 20-23; Ephesians 1: 20; I Timothy 2: 5, 6; Hebrews 13: 12.

The Great Commission:

We believe that Christ Jesus commissioned HIS Apostles to go out into all the world and Preach/Teach the Gospel. All (true) believers are employed to spread the Good News that: Salvation is a FREE GIFT to all who believe that Jesus is the Son of GOD and that HE became one of us through HIS virgin birth; Jesus came here to die for our sins so that we might have the eternal life that is GOD’s predetermined plan for all mankind.

Isaiah 61: 1; Matthew 28: 18-20; Acts 2; I Corinthians 4; II Timothy 4:2.

Salvation:

We believe that Salvation is free to anyone who believes that Jesus is the Son of GOD and that HE was born of a virgin and that HE died on the cross for the sin of WHOSOEVER will ask GOD to save them. After you accept Jesus to be your Savior, the Holy Spirit will teach you the Way the Truth and the Life.

Psalms 3: 8; Isaiah 25: 8, 9; 43: 11; John 3: 16, 17, 36; Romans 3: 23-30; 5:15-21; 10: 9; Ephesians 1: 11; 2: 5, 6; II Thessalonians 2:13; II Timothy 1: 9; Titus 3: 5-15; Revelation 3: 20.

The Rapture (Latin word):

Caught Up (English word):

We believe that one day Christ Jesus will appear in the clouds to call out HIS bride (HIS Church) to meet HIM in the air. On that glorious day, all those who are in Christ, both the dead and the living will be changed into new immortal bodies; we will be ‘caught up’ to heaven for our wedding day (we are “of” the day; we won’t be here when night falls).

I Corinthians 15: 23, 52; I Thessalonians 4: 16-18; 5: 4-28; II Thessalonians 2: 1-6; Revelation 3: 21, 22.

The Judgment Seat of Christ – Rewards:

We believe that heaven is the gift of GOD and, that we will be rewarded according to the works that we performed in our mortal bodies (here on earth).

Romans 14: 10; II Corinthians 5: 10.

The Seven Years of Tribulation:

We believe that those who did not believe (and accept Christ Jesus) before the Rapture/Catching up of the Church, will be ‘left behind’ and, there will be seven years (a week of years) of the Greatest Trouble ever known to mankind: the likes of has never been seen before. [Armageddon Rev 16: 16]

Isaiah 54; Jeremiah 30: 7; Daniel 9: 27; Matthew 24: 15-21; Romans 2: 8, 9; I Thessalonians 5: 1-3, 7; Revelation 9: 11; 11: 1-3; 12: 12, 14; 14: 3;

(At the end of the ‘Great Tribulation)

Revelation 16: 15-21; 17: 14; 19: 11-21.

The Return of Christ Jesus:

We believe that after hearing the cries of HIS chosen people (the Jews); Christ Jesus (their Messiah), will return to earth with a vengeance, and HE will judge those who harmed them.

Jesus will then rule and reign over the earth.

Zechariah 12: 9-14; 14: 5; Matthew 24: 30, 31, 36-43; II Thessalonians 2: 8; Revelation 1: 7; 19: 11-21.

Satan bound for 1000 years:

We believe that, that old dragon, Satan the devil, will be constrained and thrown into the bottomless pit until the thousand years are completed.

Revelation 20: 1-3.

The Tribulation Martyred; and the Old Testament Saints:

We believe that in that day those who will accept Christ and are martyred, will rise from the dead along with the Old Testament saints (both Jew and Gentile) to enter into the Millennial kingdom (here on Earth). Job 19: 25-29; I Corinthians 15: 13; Revelation 20: 4. Also, those who accept Christ Jesus but don't die during the Great Tribulation Period, they too will enter into the Millennium kingdom.

We believe that these are the ones who will see Christ (with HIS angels and HIS bride/HIS Church) returning to Earth in Glory (the second coming). They will bow down and confess that Jesus is LORD; and they will live in peace and harmony (on earth), for 1000 years.

Revelation 1: 7; 14: 7- 14 [Don’t take the mark of the beast].

The Millennium:

We believe that there will be one thousand years of peace here on earth where Christ Jesus will rule and reign over David’s throne in Jerusalem.

Job 19: 25-29; Revelation 5: 10; 20: 4, 6.

We believe that near the end of the thousand years, Satan will be loosed from bondage for a short time and he will manage to deceive some people into following him (again); Even with Christ Jesus HIMSELF back on earth. [Satan’s last rebellion] Revelation 20: 7-9.

Satan’s End:

We believe that Satan will (at last) be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, along with the beast and the false prophet; they will be tormented day and night throughout eternity.

Hebrews 2: 14; Revelation 20: 10.

The Great White throne:

We believe that the dead, great and small; anyone who died (throughout history), who did not accept GOD’S mercy, will be judged according to their deeds, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

I Corinthians 15: 26; Psalms 9: 17; Revelation 20: 11-15.

New heaven and new earth:

We believe that after all these things: old things will pass away and all things will become new.

There will be eternal peace in heaven and on earth. The New Jerusalem will come down out of heaven; it will be a little higher than the new (renewed) Earth; the Earth dwellers will have to come up to the New Jerusalem in order to worship the LORD.

[Let the Church and the Saints say yes!]

Isaiah 66: 22; Daniel 7: 13, 14; Revelation 21 & 22.
